Requires the Basic Single and Multi-satellite Waveform license installed on the instrument.
The software automatically sets the output frequency based on constellation type and the signal amplitude.
If downloading the waveform to an N5106A PXB, load the PXB ARB configuration.
If needed, refer to the PXB help for more information.
If not already done, launch the N7609B software and connect to the instrument.
For Basic Single satellite waveform capability (Mainly for satellite acquisition or tracking sensitivity test) :
Select the GNSS node.
In the Capability property, use the drop-down arrow and select Basic Single Satellite Waveform.
Use the Constellation property to select the Constellation type.
If using other than a GLONASS constellation, In the SV ID property, select the desired satellite.
If using a GLONASS constellation, in the Frequency Channel property, select the satellite operating channel.
If desired, specify the Dynamic Pattern applied to the satellite signal.
f. If desired, specify the Navigation Message transmitted in the satellite signal.
If desired, change Satellite Power to a proper level.
If desired, specify the Sample Rate and Waveform Length to get the Total Sample Points in the waveform.
Download the waveform using either the download button or using Control > Download.
For Basic Multi-satellite waveform capability (Mainly for location fix test with simulated scenario):
Select the GNSS node.
In the Capability property, use the drop-down arrow and select Basic Multi-Satellite Waveform.
Select a Scenario File to generate multi-satellite waveform, and the scenario information is displayed.
If desired, enter the Scenario Start Time Offset.
Select a constellation or a constellation combination in the Constellation property using the drop-down arrow.The constellation choice is based on the selected scenario file;
For Satellite Power Control, select Equal Power for equal power among all satellites, or select Range Based so that the power of each satellite is based on its pseudorange, .
Set Satellite Power to the power of each satellite in equal power mode, or set the Satellite Power for the satellite which has the maximum power in the first record of the scenario for range-based mode.
If desired, specify the Sample Rate and Waveform Length to get the Total Sample Points in the waveform.
Download the waveform using either the download button or using Control->Download.
